Over the years, Paresh Rawal and Nana Patekar have collaborated together on screen in a number of films. Paresh recently praised Nana for her fearless demeanour and told a funny story about how he made a producer to wash the dishes after a meal they shared.

During an interview with The Lallantop, Paresh Rawal narrated a funny story about a producer who was invited to Nana Patekar's house and told to wash dishes.

Paresh said, “There was this producer – I won’t name him. Nana told him to come home one day. He asked, ‘Do you eat mutton?’ The producer ate. After the meal, Nana said – ‘You ate, right? Now go and wash the dishes.’ That is Nana Patekar- baap hai. Wo alag hi hai. Wo mitti alag hai yaar (He is the boss. He's on another level. He's made of a different kind of stuff, man).

Paresh Rawal also mentioned that Nana Patekar once requested one crore rupees for a role, which created a buzz in the film industry. He highlighted that even top stars didn’t ask for such a sum, but Nana made the request—and got it. He further noted that Nana was very straightforward and candid in making such a demand.

He also stated detail about the mentality of actors such as Nana, stating that genuine performers are driven more by passion than by money. According to him, an actor may agree to take on a role or story for almost nothing, even a single rupee, if they feel a strong connection to it. However, no amount of money could convince them if they don't feel that spark.

Speaking of their work together, the two actors have appeared together in several films
including Krantiveer (1994), Ghulam-e-Mustafa (1997), Aanch (2003), Welcome (2007), and Welcome Back (2015).
