J.Cole’s exit out of the incandescent Hip-Hop beef, has left Kendrick Lamar and Drake as the last two main contestants of the fiery rap battle.
With Drake's 'Taylor Made Freestyle' mocking Kendrick about his cowardice on releasing the same week as Taylor swift, Lamar has deviantly shot back with his seething diss track titled '6:16 in LA', co-produced by Taylor Swift's long time collaborator and friend, Jack Antonoff, alongside Lamar’s in-house beat maestro, Sounwave. The clever retort has created an unreal buzz on the hiving social media platform, X (formerly twitter) with users saying, “Kendrick's diss was literally Taylor made.”

Lamar released his riposte on May 3, just three days after his first response to the Canadian rapper, titled euphoria. A six minute long track lambasting drake on his biracial identity, calling him a scam artist, a master manipulator, and also critiquing the rappers ability as a father (yes, he bodied him on this one).
The diss track titled “6:16 in LA”, is a reference to the lightskin rapper’s time stamp series, like 2023’s ‘8AM in Charlotte’, and 2015’s ‘6PM in New York’.

On his latest diss track, Lamar continued to tear down the ‘Hotline Bling’ singer with his psycho analyzation while also accusing OVO (Drake's music label) of having having leaks in its coterie. “Have you ever thought that OVO was working for me?/ Fake bully, I hate bullies/ You must be a terrible person/ Everyone inside your team is whispering that you deserve it/ Can’t ‘Toosie Slide’ up out of this one, it’s just gon’ resurface”.
The ‘Humble’ rapper also threw shots at drakes personal circle, claiming that some of them want him to turn up “as a casualty”. As he raps, “And one of them is actually next to you / And two of them is practically tired of your lifestyle, just don’t got the audacity to tell you / But let me tell you some game, ’cause I can see you my lil’ homie / You playin’ dirty with propaganda, it blow up on ya,” the rapper alleges that a member of drakes pack is part of a group this hoping on his ‘soon to come’ downfall.
Drake’s claims on the Compton rapper having “nothing to drop” in response, was fired back twice with Lamar’s ‘Euphoria’ and ‘6:16 in LA’.
According to various tweets, Lamar seems nowhere done with his adversary, Drake.
