BTS’s Jin has built a reputation for occasionally bending the rules set by HYBE, but his actions always stem from a desire to make ARMYs, BTS’s dedicated fanbase, feel special and appreciated.

One notable instance of Jin’s rule-bending occurred ahead of a BTS fansign event. BIGHIT Music, the company managing BTS, had prohibited the members from wearing anything on their heads, including fan-gifted flower crowns. This restriction meant that Jin couldn't wear the flower crowns that fans had lovingly prepared for him.

Despite the rules, Jin found a creative way to reciprocate the fans' gestures. Instead of donning the crowns himself, he decided to give back in a unique manner. Jin warmly gazed at the fans and placed the flower crowns on their heads, turning the moment into a personal and memorable experience for each fan.

Years have passed since that fansign event, but Jin’s dedication to ARMY has remained unwavering. His actions continue to reflect his genuine care and appreciation for the fans who support BTS. Whether through direct interactions or through his performances, Jin consistently goes above and beyond to connect with ARMYs and show them how much they mean to him.

Recently, on June 12, BTS celebrated Jin’s return from military service, a joyous occasion marked by RM’s saxophone performance of their hit song Dynamite. The group reunited for FESTA 2024, even as the other members continued their military duties, with a full regrouping anticipated in June 2025.

Jin's hug event was however marred by misconduct by fans who forcefully 'kissed' him. Jin intended to create a memorable and heartfelt experience for fans, with 1000 lucky attendees selected to participate. However, the event quickly turned sour when a few fans crossed the line by trying to kiss Jin without his consent. Jin was visibly uncomfortable and attempted to avoid the unwanted advances.

The incident was captured on video and quickly spread across the internet, prompting a strong backlash from netizens. On June 14, Seoul’s Songpa Police Department confirmed they had received a report regarding the behaviour of two fans, which was being investigated as a potential case of sexual assault. The police are currently determining whether the incident warrants a full investigation.
