In the latest update on firing outside Salman Khan's house in Bandra earlier this month, the Mumbai police arrested two men from Punjab for allegedly supplying pistols to the assailants.
Subhash Vhander and Anuj Thapan had supplied the pistol and cartridges to the shooters in the month of March, which was almost a month before the incident.
The two were also brought to Mumbai in the morning.
The Mumbai Sessions Court has also extended the custody of the two accused—Vicky Gupta (24) and Sagar Palk (21)—arrested in firing outside Salman Khan's home until April 29.
The Mumbai police have also declared Lawrence Bishnoi's brother Anmol, who had taken the responsibility of the firing, as wanted in this case. He had made this claim in a post on his social media handle.
According to the police, the accused had changed their clothes three times in order to avoid being recognised.
A few days ago, police also recovered the gun that was used in the firing from the Tapi River in Gujarat. The accused had told the police during interrogation that they had thrown it off the railway bridge when they were on their way to Bhuj.
The two accused were arrested in Bhuj two days after the firing. Their interrogation is still ongoing, and hence the custody has been extended.
Salman Khan's security has been beefed up after the firing incident, but the actor hasn't stopped any of his professional commitments. He was recently in Dubai, then at the 'Heeramandi' screening, and last evening he stepped out to support his brother-in-law, Aayush Sharma, for his movie 'Ruslaan.'
Salman Khan was in Dubai for an event, and he had asked his team not to cancel any of his professional work.
After the firing, Arbaaz Khan also issued a statement, saying the family was a bit shaken.
