Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga: George Miller's post-apocalyptic world is returning to theatres after seven long years. The fifth film in the 'Mad Max' saga is a prequel to 'Mad Max: Fury Road' (Charlize Theron, Tom Hardy). Anya Taylor-Joy plays a young Furiosa, as she is kidnapped from the land of abundance and fights off warlords and the odds to come out on top. The film is releasing in theatres on Thursday, May 23.

The GoatLife: Prithviraj Sukumaran and director Blessy spotlight a harsh reality of the immigrant life. Sukumaran plays a Malayali immigrant stranded in Saudi Arabia. He serves as a goatherd in an extreme landscape, with little hope of rescue. Adapted from the best-selling novel Aadujeevitham by Benyamin, 'The GoatLife' is releasing on Disney+ Hotstar on Sunday (May 26).

Atlas: Jennifer Lopez has been quite prolific in the last couple of years. After 2023's 'The Mother' and 'This is Me... Now: A Love Story', she will be seen in 'Atlas', 'Unstoppable' (produced by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon) and 'Kiss of the Spider Woman'. In 'Atlas', JLo plays the title hero Atlas Shepherd. When her efforts to tame a robot-gone-bad fail, she has to ally with AI she mistrusts. A Sci-fi film for our times, 'Atlas' is releasing on Netflix on May 24.

Turbo: Mammootty and director Vysakh's third venture together, 'Turbo' is an action comedy. Mammootty said in a recent interview to a Malayalam publication that the film took a staggering 120 days to complete, with most of the time devoted to getting the action sequences right! The star-studded cast—Mammootty as Turbo (a jeep driver who falls prey to a scam), Raj B Shetty as Vetrivel Shanmugha Sundaram, Telugu actor Sunil as Auto Billa, Anjana Jayaprakash as Indhulekha, Shabareesh Varma as Aruvipurath Jerry, Dileesh Pothan as Andrew, Bindu Panicker as Rosakutty and Niranjana Anoop as Sithara—was announced in a series of stunning posters on X. The film releases worldwide on May 23, 2024.
Crew: Tabu, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Kriti Sanon play airhostesses looking to get-rich-quick in director Rajesh A Krishnan's comedy film, expected to drop on JioCinema on May 24. The three protagonists here are so keen to get rich that they even try a gold-smuggling hack, but things go comically wrong. Worth a watch as Tabu and Kareena Kapoor Khan's first film project together.

Thalavan: Circle inspector Jayashankar (Biju Menon) and sub-inspector Karthik (Asif Ali) must work together to crack a case in this Malayalam crime thriller directed by Jis Joy. The police procedural is also expected to be an exploration of what happens when egos clash inside the police station, and how hierarchies play out in the multiple ways.
