Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 has launched, and the premiere episode was a visual delight.
Smriti Irani is back on the television screens after a span of 25 years. Amar Upadhyay is seen alongside her, and the show has a fresh feel to it. The first episode took the viewers back to the cherished memories of the original show with its title track. It also introduced new characters in the story.
As the episode went on air, the audience gave a positive response. The original show lasted for 8 long years; however, this time it seems that Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi will be a finite show. Media reports suggest that it would have a run of 150 episodes.
In an interview with Pinkvilla, Amar Upadhyay, who plays Mihir Virani, commented on the run time of the show.
The publication quoted Amar, "While the buzz is strong so far, it looks like a finite series. As far as I know, maybe the show will run for a maximum of 10 months or a year."
Speaking about what the viewers can expect from Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2, Amar shared that the house and the characters are different, but the feel of the show is the same.
“The family values are intact. Smriti is just as she was with the kids, and Mihir is unchanged too,” Amar added.
In the first season, Mihir had returned to India after completing his MBA to join his father's business. But in this season, he is shown as a successful businessman.
Along with Smriti Irani and Amar Upadhyay, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 also stars Shakti Anand, Hiten Tejwani, Gauri Pradhan, Kamalika Guha Thakurta, and Ketki Dave in pivotal roles, shares the publication.
