Kareena’s post came after several Hollywood icons paid emotional tributes to the late actor.

For the unversed, Kilmer died of pneumonia on Tuesday in Los Angeles. He had been diagnosed with throat cancer in 2014 but later recovered. Although a tracheotomy surgery impacted his voice and temporarily halted his acting career, Val Kilmer made a notable return to the big screen.

He reprised his iconic role as Iceman in the 2022 blockbuster Top Gun: Maverick, starring alongside Tom Cruise.

Val Kilmer made his acting debut with the 1984 spy thriller Top Secret!, followed by the comedic hit Real Genius in 1985. His breakthrough role came in 1986 as Iceman Kazansky in Top Gun, alongside Tom Cruise. He had starred in several versatile films but eventually gained a reputation for being difficult on set.

Kilmer also starred in director Ron Howard’s fantasy, Willow, and the crime thriller Kill Me Again, with British actress Joanne Whalley. He went on to marry his co-star, Joanne, in 1988. They got divorced in 1996. The duo shared two kids, Jack and Mercedes.
