Kapil Sharma, the popular comedian and host of The Great Indian Kapil Show, recently shared an interesting revelation about his life during a special event at the Attari-Wagah Border. As the show gears up for its second season on Netflix, Kapil and his cast had a heartwarming meet-and-greet with the Border Security Forces (BSF) jawans and their families.
The event was a delightful evening filled with laughter, music, and stories, as Kapil and his team celebrated India's vibrant culture and honored the real heroes of the BSF. During this special occasion, Kapil Sharma was asked about his alternate career choice if he had not become a comedian. In his trademark humorous style, he replied, “Mujhe toh definitely aap BSF, army ya phir police force mein dekhte. Aur mein jhooth nahi bol raha, maine BSF ki bharti ke liye ek baar try bhi kiya tha. Meine humesha he apne aas paas wardi waalon ko dekha hai, mere papa bhi police mein the. Mein police quarters mein raha bhi hoon in Amritsar. So definitely mein armed forces mein hota agar comedian nahi hota.”
Kapil’s response drew applause and admiration from the BSF personnel and their families. He explained that his connection to the armed forces runs deep. Growing up, he was surrounded by people in uniform, including his father, who was a policeman. Kapil also mentioned that he lived in police quarters in Amritsar, which strengthened his bond with the armed forces.
“I would have definitely joined the BSF, army, or police force,” Kapil continued. “I am not kidding; I even tried to join the BSF once.” His genuine respect for the services and his personal connection to them were evident, making his words resonate even more with the audience.
