Justin Baldoni and wife Emily facing 'emotional stress' in legal battle with Blake Lively

Actor Justin Baldoni and his wife, Emily, are facing an 'emotional weight' from his legal fight with co-star Blake Lively.

A source quoted by People Magazine said Baldoni is currently focusing on family and friends amid the legal dispute, which is both financially and emotionally draining for the actor.

“He’s certainly feeling the financial and emotional weight of his legal fight,” a family friend told People.

The friend was further quoted as saying that Baldoni is more focused on "his family and faith."

The It Ends with Us actor-director and his wife, Emily, have been "leaning on a tight circle of loyal friends" as the legal battle continues.

"The lawsuit drama is causing stress for both of them, but their marriage is solid and they are actually closer than ever," said the friend. Baldoni and Emily got married in 2013.

Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni's legal battle began in December 2024, when the former filed a sexual-harassment complaint against Baldoni, saying that he committed impropriety during the film's shooting.

The actress also accused Baldoni and his friends of beginning a retaliatory smear campaign to "destroy" her reputation, a claim he rejected categorically.

In January, Justin Baldoni filed a $400 million lawsuit against Blake Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and their publicist Leslie Sloane, accusing them of extortion, slander, and other charges. The court has scheduled both cases in Lively v. Wayfarer Studios et al. for March 2026.

“March still feels very far away. He’s certainly feeling the financial and emotional weight of his legal fight," the family friend added.

The family friend further said that Baldoni is 'positive' and believes that things will work out for the best.

Baldoni and Emily are parents to two—daughter Maiya and son Maxwell.

Another friend of Baldoni further told People that, "He’s been spending time with his wife, family and close friends as much as ever. He’s always had a small circle close to him and that hasn’t changed."

Recently, after a long break, Baldoni shared a post for the first time after the legal battle and he paid tribute to his wife and mom on Mother’s Day. “My mom gave us faith. My wife is the definition of it. Our children are growing up in the fortress of that love," he wrote on his Instagram on May 11.
