Jaya Bachchan attends Rinku Singh’s engagement ceremony, shares light moment with Akhilesh Yadav and others

Indian cricketer Rinku Singh got engaged to MP Priya Saroj in a beautiful and grand ceremony held on June 8, 2025. Among the many prominent attendees was actress and Member of Parliament Jaya Bachchan, who graced the occasion with her presence.

Rinku Singh is about to start a new chapter in his personal life after an outstanding IPL 2025 performance. The couple exchanged rings in a touching ceremony at the Centrum Hotel in Lucknow, where they got engaged.

The ceremony, which took place at the Fulcurn Hall, reportedly drew about 300 VIP guests. Cricket players Praveen Kumar, Piyush Chawla, and Aryan Juya were among the notable guests, along with Jaya Bachchan, Ikra Hasan, Akhilesh Yadav, the leader of the Samajwadi Party, Dimple Yadav, and Ramgopal Yadav. As they celebrated the start of their journey together, the couple was beaming.

Jaya Bachchan was spotted posing with BCCI chief Rajeev Shukla and other notable guests while wearing a traditional pink silk saree, which made her look elegant.

Akhilesh Yadav, Jaya Bachchan, and several other Samajwadi Party leaders were seen having a light-hearted conversation at the event, according to one of the unscripted photos taken there. Their presence gave the already star-studded celebration a dash of warmth and political prominence.

For the engagement, Rinku Singh wore a regal white-toned sherwani adorned with intricate silver embroidery. With a matching dupatta and choli, Priya Saroj looked stunning in a delicate pink lehenga with intricate embroidery. An emerald necklace, matching earrings, light makeup, and a well-groomed hairstyle completed her ensemble.

On the work front, Jaya Bachchan was last seen in Karan Johar’s film Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, where she played the role of Ranveer Singh’s mother.
