Taha Shah Badussha meets Rekha in an award show

Taha Shah Badussha captivated his fans with his charming looks and powerful role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Netflix debut series, Heeramandi. However, he has once again won the internet with his sweet gesture.

The actor recently attended an award function where veteran actor Rekha was also present. However, a video is going viral on social media, showcasing Taha’s respect towards women.

In the viral video, Taha can be seen touching Rekha’s feet out of respect and to seek her blessings. Rekha is delighted with the gesture and gives him her blessings. They can be seen involved in the conversation for a while.

However, fans were left impressed with Taha and complimented him for his act. For the award show, Taha wore a grey suit while Rekha looked stunning in a green saree. She completed her look with huge earrings.

Meanwhile, there have been reports that filmmaker Bhansali originally offered a leading role in the Netflix series about two decades ago.

The debut season features an ensemble cast including Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha and Sanjeeda Sheikh among others. Aditi Rao’s Gaja Gamini made the series even more successful with several influencers and celebrities giving it a try, and made it a social media trend.

The series received critical acclaim and became a huge success, with the makers giving the greenlit to Season 2.

For the unversed, Heeramandi revolves around the courtesans in Heera Mandi, a red-light district in Lahore during the 1940s, amid the Indian independence movement against British rule.
