Sunita Ahuja, wife of Bollywood star Govinda, has addressed the divorce rumours between the couple. In a recent conversation with ABP News, she opened up about the speculations, speaking candidly about their relationship and the misunderstanding that had emerged in the media.
Sunita, who was celebrating the final day of Navratri with a pooja, responded to the separation rumours that had been circulating in recent weeks.
She mentioned, "Main sochti hu kutte hai log bhokege. Jab tk aap mere ya Govinda k mooh se kuch na sunnlo toh aap koi cheez yeh mt socho ki kya hai kya nhi hai."
She further clarified, "Mere baaren m koi negativity bolta bhi hai na main usko bhot bhot dhanya waad bolti hu" — meaning she thanks those who speak negatively about her, showing her strength in the face of rumours.
Sunita also shared her gratitude, saying, "Mujhe Maa Rani ne ek bhot accha pati diya, Mata Rani ne mujhe bhot sundar 2 bacche diye" — expressing her deep appreciation for the blessings in her life, including her supportive husband and beautiful children.
Govinda and Sunita Ahuja tied the knot on 11th March 1987 and have two children: a daughter, Tina Ahuja, and a son, Yashvardhan. Earlier reports had suggested that the couple's marriage was facing strain due to lifestyle differences. However, a statement from the actor’s lawyer had clarified that the couple had resolved their issues and had opted to withdraw their divorce petition.

Govinda and Sunita have been married for over three decades, and Sunita's remarks reinforce their strong relationship despite the rumours.
On the professional front, Govinda was last seen in the 2019 film Rangeela Raja. He also made headlines in October last year when he accidentally shot himself in the leg with his licensed revolver, leading to surgery.
