Charu Asopa hits back at ex-husband Rajeev Sen for questioning her financial struggles: Whatever I do is always drama for this man

Television actress  Charu Asopa has been in the headlines recently after videos of her selling clothes online has gone viral on the internet. She has now slammed her ex-husband Rajeev Sen after he doubted her claims of financial crunch.

Charu and Rajeev Chopra were previously married before divorcing in 2023 and the couple share a daughter, Zaina. She shared that she recently shifted from Mumbai to Rajasthan with her daughter and that Rajeev was informed beforehand. Sen, however, now slams her for keeping their child away from him and casts doubt on her financial claims.

In a recent conversation with Hindustan Times, Rajeev questioned the authenticity of Charu Asopa's claims about facing financial difficulties. “She could afford a cruise trip with her brother and his wife which is pretty expensive and she paid for everyone’s ticket. Where does this financial struggle come into play?" he questioned.

Charu later reposted Rajeev's interview where he said these statements and wrote on her Instagram Story, “Wow, that’s beautiful. Whatever I do is always drama for this man.”

He also mentioned that Charu seems to be managing cruises and indulging in regular shopping, as evident from her daily vlogs, which, according to him, shows that she isn't facing any financial struggles. “She could afford a cruise trip with her brother and his wife which is pretty expensive and she paid for everyone’s ticket. Where does this financial struggle come into play?"

Rajeev further claimed that Charu has shifted base from Mumbai to Bikaner as she’s been actively exploring real estate there. He suggested she might already have purchased a house, noting that such investments require significant money.

He further opened up about their present family situation and how unhappy he is as he doesn't get to meet their daughter. "Charu has mastered the art of keeping my daughter away from me. But I really feel bad for Ziana because she's the one who is losing out."

Charu previously shared in an interview with Hindustan Times that she had relocated to Bikaner with her daughter Ziana over a month ago, citing the high cost of living in Mumbai, around Rs. 1 to 1.5 lakh per month—as a major factor. She also expressed that she felt uncomfortable leaving her daughter in the care of a nanny when she went for shoots.

Charu clarified that the move to Bikaner was well thought out and that she had informed her ex-husband, Rajeev Sen, about the decision in advance.
