Marvel fans can finally breathe a sigh of relief. Disney+ has confirmed that Daredevil: Born Again is not ending with Season 2 after all. The hit Marvel Studios series has officially been renewed for a third season, keeping Charlie Cox in the red suit a little longer.
From Speculation to Confirmation
For months, rumors had swirled online that the show would wrap up after Season 2. Those whispers got louder in July when Charlie dropped a comment at GalaxyCon, calling the upcoming season the show’s “final one.” Fans immediately flooded social media with theories.
But then Vincent D’Onofrio stepped in. The actor, who plays Wilson Fisk, aka Kingpin, quickly told fans not to panic. “Good chance there will be a third,” he wrote at the time. Now, Marvel Studios has made it official.
Returning Cast and What’s Next
The new season is set to start filming in early 2026 with Charlie back as Matt Murdock and Vincent reprising his role as the menacing Kingpin. The ensemble remains stacked—Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, and Jon Bernthal are all back, with Bernthal also gearing up for his own one-off Punisher special slated for 2026.
Behind the scenes, Dario Scardapane continues as showrunner, with Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead among the returning directors. Kevin Feige and the usual Marvel heavyweights remain executive producers, ensuring the series stays tightly woven into the larger MCU fabric.

Fan and Critical Reception
When Daredevil: Born Again first launched on Disney+ earlier this year, it quickly silenced skeptics. Critics praised its gritty tone and complex storytelling, with Variety calling it “a brilliantly detailed continuation” of Matt Murdock’s journey.

Season 1 still holds an 87% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, solidifying its place as one of Marvel’s strongest TV offerings.
With Season 3 now locked in, fans can expect more street-level battles, courtroom drama, and—if history is any indication—plenty of surprises.
