The 70th Hyundai Filmfare Awards 2025 is coming to Ahmedabad, and all eyes are on the star-studded night. Shah Rukh Khan will take center stage as co-host, joined by his close friend Karan Johar and TV favorite Maniesh Paul. The update was announced on Filmfare’s official Instagram page, sparking excitement among fans and the film industry alike.

The highly anticipated awards ceremony is scheduled for October 11, 2025, at the state-of-the-art EKA Arena, Kankaria Lake, Ahmedabad. This landmark decision follows the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in August between the Tourism Corporation of Gujarat Limited (TCGL) and Worldwide Media Private Limited in Gandhinagar, a significant step taken in the presence of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel.

The move to host the prestigious Filmfare Awards in Gujarat aligns perfectly with the state's ambitious Cinematic Tourism Policy 2022, positioning it as a burgeoning hub for the film industry. The Chief Minister, who also unveiled the iconic Black Lady trophy on the occasion, underscored the cultural and economic importance of this event.

Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel highlighted that under the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Gujarat has become a preferred destination for entertainment investments. He further emphasised that hosting the Filmfare Awards will serve multiple purposes beyond glamour. It is expected to significantly boost the local economy, generate employment, and actively promote the purchase and sale of indigenous products. This initiative will strongly reinforce the national calls for 'Vocal for Local' and Atmanirbharta (self-reliance), cementing the film industry's role in promoting Swadeshi values.

With the 'King Khan' set to charm the audiences and Gujarat rolling out the red carpet, the 70th Filmfare Awards is poised to be an unforgettable confluence of cinematic excellence and state pride, marking a golden chapter in Gujarat's journey on the national stage.
