Several of Bollywood’s biggest names were spotted at a grand event in Mumbai on Saturday, February 7, marking the centenary celebrations of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) — the organisation that completed 100 years in 2025. The first day of the two-day event, part of the RSS’s lecture series titled “100 Years of Sangh Journey: New Horizons,” drew distinguished guests from varied fields, including cinema, arts and culture.
Among the film industry personalities in attendance were superstars Salman Khan and Ranbir Kapoor, as well as filmmakers and creatives like Mohit Suri, Subhash Ghai, Nitesh Tiwari, Om Raut and Vikram Malhotra. Lyricist and writer Prasoon Joshi was also present, seated beside Salman Khan during the proceedings.
Salman Khan appeared deeply engaged in the programme, listening attentively to speeches and discussions during the event held at the Nehru Centre Auditorium in Worli. RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, in his address, touched on the organisation’s history, philosophy and vision for the future, emphasising ideas of cultural unity and national service. Observers noted that Khan was focused throughout, even as fans in the audience tried to capture moments with their cameras.
Ranbir Kapoor, seated in the front row, drew attention not only for his presence but for his moustache — reportedly linked to his look from the upcoming film Love & War, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Outside the auditorium, a warm and viral moment showed Ranbir greeting and embracing Nitesh Tiwari, with whom he is set to collaborate on the highly anticipated two-part Ramayana saga. The first part of that project is slated to release at Diwali 2026, with the second arriving in cinemas at Diwali 2027.
Salman Khan is currently prepping for his upcoming war drama Battle of Galwan, in which he portrays Colonel Bikkumalla Santosh Babu, a real-life Indian Army officer. The film, directed by Apoorva Lakhia and inspired by the 2022 book India’s Most Fearless 3 by Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh, brings the heroic story of Santosh Babu and his regiment to the big screen alongside co-star Chitrangda Singh. It is slated for a theatrical release in April 2026.
