Assamese singer Zubeen Garg, who died in a scuba diving accident in Singapore, was cremated with full state honours on September 23 at Kamarkuchi village in Sonapur. Zubeen's death circumstances have sparked questions among the fans, with the government directing an investigation.
However, fellow singer Papon has also asked the official for a faster investigation on Friday. Pas recently took to his Instagram and shared a throwback photo with Zubeen.
The singer added, "Requesting the investigation to be fast-paced, to get the answers to the questions we are seeking soon."
On September 23, Garg's remains were cremated with full state honours at Kamarkuchi, which is outside of Guwahati. His death is being investigated.
Assam CM Himanta Sarma has recently revealed that a lookout notice has been issued against Zubeen Garg's manager, Siddharth Sharma, and North East India Festival organiser Shyamkanu Mahanta in connection with the singer’s death.

The singer died after allegedly suffering injuries while scuba diving on September 19 in Singapore, where he was scheduled to perform at a concert. Despite being taken to the hospital and placed in the intensive care unit, he was not able to be saved.
Zubeen Garg was a well-known singer in the Bollywood, Assamese and Bengali music industries. He is known for his breakthrough song in the film Gangster. He sang 'Ya Ali' for the film and earned the Best Playback Singer award at the Global Indian Film Awards (GIFA) in 2006.
