Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi has launched the highly anticipated trailer of the high-octane thriller Taskaree: The Smuggler Web at a star-studded event in Mumbai on Wednesday, January 7.
During the launch, the actor described her character in the film and also teased a potential romance angle.
Emraan was asked if the series features a love story besides the thriller. Responding to the media question, the actor said, “Do khubsurat ladkiyan hai iss [series me]... Of course, love story milegi (There are two beautiful girls in this [series]... of course, there will be a love story).”
He added, Main rahoon aur love story na ho ( I'm there, and there is no love story!!!).”
However, the actor also talked about the music of the film. He recalled how he went to the filmmaker Neeraj Pandey and asked him to add one song in every episode of the series. However, the filmmaker rejected the idea.
Emraan added, “And I thought I would lose the show. But I'm fine, I'll manage without the songs. The background music is very good in this.”
Taskaree, a gripping thriller, depicts the stressful world of international smuggling, where every shipment, passenger, and bag hides secrets that might be revealed, and customs authorities have to keep three steps ahead in this never-ending game of deceit.
The official synopsis of Taskaree: The Smuggler's Web reads, “A dedicated customs officer and his team take on a notorious smuggler leading a powerful syndicate, but unexpected obstacles threaten their mission.”
The series also stars Sharad Kelkar and Zoya Afroz in the key roles.
Taskaree: The Smuggler's Web, which promises viewers an exciting trip into a world where nothing is as it seems, is scheduled to clear the green channel and debut on Netflix on January 14.
