Varun Dhawan’s Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai is just a few weeks away from its release. The crew of the film, including his father and the film’s director, David Dhawan, are gearing up to appear in the upcoming episode of Kapil Sharma's Netflix series, The Great Indian Kapil Show.
Netflix has dropped a promo for the finale episode on March 12, and it's all fun.
The trailer starts with Kapil asking David Dhawan, “How difficult is it to work with your own family?" while looking at Varun.
The director didn’t take time and quipped, “He questions everything. ‘Why should I do that?’ I say, ‘Because I said so.'"
Varun is left baffled with this father’s response. Kapil also asks Varun about collaborating with others in spite of his father's famous status.
He jokes, “At home, the visual isn’t one of a legendary director. He sits around in a lungi. Now that Rohit and I are married, he has begun to wear a T-shirt at home."
They both laugh and give each other hugs. Even David Dhawan is amazed by Sunil Grover's imitation of Kader Khan in the trailer.
Sunil reenacted a moment while disguised as Kader Khan in the trailer. He said, “Idhar aao," Archana Puran Singh added, “Oh my God," in awe. David also noted, “Yaad aagaya bhai."
Sunil has already won over audiences with strong performances like Salman Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, and Aamir Khan.
Netflix will release the Season 4 finale of The Great Indian Kapil Show on March 14.
Varun’s film Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai will be released on June 12. It was originally scheduled to open in theatres on June 5, but the producers postponed it by one week to prevent conflict with Yash's Toxic. Mrunal Thakur and Pooja Hegde are also part of the cast.
