Bollywood director and choreographer Farah Khan continues to captivate the internet with her YouTube vlogs.

However, her cook, Dilip, who is now a fan favourite in his own right, has unquestionably been one of the video's greatest highlights.

In a recent conversation with Soha Ali Khan on her YouTube channel, Farah discussed how Dilip's life and her career have been changed by the unexpected digital fame.

Dilip was doing well even before YouTube, according to Farah, but the popularity of the vlogs created new opportunities. She also revealed that she had helped one of his sons complete a culinary diploma programme and had enrolled his kids in an English-medium school.

Farah also revealed that Dilip had been secretly dealing with financial strain.

The filmmaker said, “But he had a lot of debt, I don’t know from where, so one year has gone by just paying off his debt and telling him that he cannot take a loan on interest anymore because whatever I am giving him is going down a well. So I have cleared all his debts, and now he’s building his house.”

The filmmaker revealed that she is now working on securing brand deals to support Dilip in securing a home without any financial stress.

She shared, “I am trying to get many brands involved so that we give him the house for free.”

In earlier vlogs, Dilip had admitted that he started working for just Rs 300 but her received a Rs 20,000 salary at Farah Khan’s house, which is now increased.

After receiving encouragement from her team, Farah began making vlogs. She gave Dilip punchlines to deliver in the videos and selected him as her on-screen partner. He became an internet sensation overnight as a result of their lighthearted banter.

With just their second vlog, they were awarded their first Silver Button, and Farah's YouTube channel now has around 2.48 million subscribers.

In addition to their cooking videos, Farah and Dilip started a travel vlog series and took him to the Maldives for the first time. Additionally, Dilip has appeared in a number of advertisements, including promotions for Flipkart and campaigns with Shah Rukh Khan and Kiara Advani for Myntra.
