The sudden demise of veteran actor Satish Shah has left the entertainment industry and fans across the nation heartbroken.

The Sarabhai vs Sarabhai actor, known for his impeccable comic timing and unforgettable portrayal of Indravadan Sarabhai, was cremated in Bandra, Mumbai. His co-stars from the iconic sitcom bid him farewell by singing the show’s theme song beside his pyre.

A video from the funeral went viral where Deven Bhojani, Sumeet Raghvan, and Rupali Ganguly among others are singing the theme song. Fans described the moment as “beautifully emotional,” saying it was the most fitting tribute to the beloved actor who made generations laugh.


Taking to Instagram, Deven Bhojani, who played Dushyant and also directed the show, shared the video and explained the touching reason behind it. He wrote, “May look mad, dark, weird whatever but we always sing this when together & today was not an exception. Felt as if INDU himself insisted and joined us. #RIP #SatishShah ji I am blessed to have directed you in #SarabhaiVsSarabhai. You’ll live forever in our hearts. ”

One user commented, “The best way to give an artist a final goodbye — he would be smiling from heaven.” Another wrote, “A fitting tribute by the best team to a great artist.”

Sumeet Raghvan, who played Sahil Sarabhai, also shared the video, penning a moving note, “And one final bye to Indu Sarabhai… We will miss you, Dad. Love you loads.”

JD Majethia informed followers about Satish Shah’s prayer meet, scheduled for Monday, October 27, from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at Jalaram Hall, Juhu, where family, friends, and colleagues will gather to celebrate his life and legacy.

Satish Shah passed away at the age of 74 due to kidney failure. According to his manager, the actor collapsed while having lunch at his Mumbai residence and was rushed to Hinduja Hospital, where he was declared dead.

Tributes poured in from across the film fraternity, with stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Farah Khan, and Karan Johar remembering him for his warmth, wit, and unmatched contribution to Indian entertainment.
