Veteran actor Satish Shah, known for his iconic comic timing and memorable performances across television and cinema, will be fondly remembered at a prayer meet scheduled for October 27.

The ceremony will take place at Jalaram Hall, Juhu, Mumbai, between 5:30 pm and 7:30 pm.

Satish Shah, who passed away at the age of 74 due to kidney related ailment, leaves behind a legacy of laughter, warmth, and immense contribution to the Indian entertainment industry.

Known for effortlessly balancing humour with heart, the veteran actor was regarded as one of the most versatile performers in Hindi television and films.

He rose to nationwide fame with his unforgettable portrayal of Indravadan Sarabhai in the cult sitcom Sarabhai vs Sarabhai, where his impeccable comic timing and spontaneous wit became a benchmark for situational comedy on Indian television.

Over the years, he also featured in numerous popular films, including Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro, Main Hoon Na, Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa, Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!, Om Shanti Om, and Kal Ho Naa Ho, among many others.

Throughout his decades-long career, Satish Shah worked with some of the biggest names in Bollywood and became known as one of the most respected and admired character actors in the industry.

Premiered in 2004, Sarabhai vs Sarabhai became one of Indian television’s most beloved sitcoms. Satish Shah’s portrayal of the witty, mischievous, yet affectionate patriarch Indravadan Sarabhai made him a household name.
