Actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan attended the birth centenary celebrations of Sri Sathya Sai Baba in Puttaparthi, Andhra Pradesh, on November 19 (Wednesday), where she spoke passionately about spirituality, unity, and human values.

The event drew significant attention, not only for its scale but also for Aishwarya’s powerful message on religion, caste, and universal harmony.

In a video by ANI that has been circulating on social media, the Bollywood actress was seen expressing her gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for gracing the occasion. She also paid heartfelt homage to Sri Sathya Sai Baba and reflected on the profound wisdom he shared throughout his life.

Her speech included a strong call for unity, compassion, and the rejection of social divisions. Stressing that humanity must transcend boundaries, she stated, “There is only one caste, the caste of humanity. There is only one religion, the religion of love. There is only one language, the language of the heart, and there is only one God, and he is omnipresent.”

She also recalled his teachings and highlighted the guiding principles he often emphasised. She said, “Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba often spoke about the five D’s. Five essential qualities needed for a meaningful, purposeful and spiritually anchored life — Discipline, Dedication, Devotion, Determination, and Discrimination.”

Former Indian cricket player Sachin Tendulkar, Union Ministers Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu and G. Kishan Reddy, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan were among the notable individuals who attended the centenary celebrations.

Prime Minister Modi honoured Sri Sathya Sai Baba's extraordinary life and teachings by releasing a unique coin and a series of stamps as part of the festivities. Vibrant cultural performances, such as traditional dance and music, were also featured at the event, which enhanced the day's festive and spiritual vibe.
