Govinda's wife, Sunita Ahuja shares her husband's health update, says "iss saal Diwali wo nahi mana rahe"

Bollywood star Govinda who was discharged from hospital few weeks ago, didn't celebrate Diwali because of health reasons. Govinda's wife, Sunita has shared a health update regarding the actor.

In a video circulated online, Sunita Ahuja, wife of Govinda stepped out of their building with their daughter, Tina Ahuja. Both women looked stunning in their ethnic attire, with Sunita wearing an embellished black sharara and Tina donning a pink and grey sequined saree.

After being asked about Govinda's health update, Sunita stated, "Sir ekdam thik hai. Unko rest karne bola hai isliye iss saal Diwali wo nahi mana rahe. Toh sirf main bacchon ke saath Diwali mana rahi hun (sir is doing well and has been advised to rest, which is why he won't be celebrating Diwali this year. I will be celebrating with our kids instead.")

On Tuesday evening, Yashwardhan was seen at a Diwali party and provided updates on his father's health. He confirmed that the stitches have been removed and that Govinda will be back to dancing soon.

"Badiya, badiya. Much better hai, stitches nikal gaye hai, koi tension nahi hai. Mast, ab ek do hafto mein dance bhi karna chalu kar lenge" [He’s great, he’s great. He’s much better now, the stitches have been removed so there is no tension. He’ll start dancing in a couple of weeks], Yashvardhan shared, with a laugh.

Govinda accidentally shot himself in the leg with his own revolver while cleaning it. Dr. Ramesh Agarwal, who treated the actor, confirmed that he received around 8 to 10 stitches for the injury. The Mumbai police are currently investigating the incident.
