Ananya Panday on her relationship

Ananya Panday, a popular Bollywood actress, recently opened about her past relationships and the compromises she made that led to personal growth and change. After her rumoured breakup with actor Aditya Roy Kapoor and the buzz surrounding her relationship with former model Walker Blanco, Ananya shared insights into how her romantic experiences have shaped her views on relationships.

In a candid conversation on Raj Shamani’s podcast, Ananya revealed her thoughts on love, relationships, and the importance of staying true to oneself.

She spoke about how relationships often reveal things only after they end, and how people sometimes fail to recognize “red flags” early on.

Ananya said, “I don’t think you see a red flag in a relationship immediately. When you are out of a relationship, at that time, you realise that it could have been done better.” This reflects how sometimes, when we’re in a relationship, we overlook signs that could indicate problems.

Ananya also shared her belief that when she is in a relationship, she gives her best effort. She explained, “If I am in a relationship, I will do everything to figure it out and sort it out. I see the best in people, do my best, and give it my all in a relationship, but I expect that from my partner also.” For Ananya, loyalty and respect are non-negotiable. She added, “For me, half-heartedness doesn’t work. If you are in a relationship, you have to show loyalty and respect.” This highlights her commitment to mutual effort and trust in her partnerships.

One of the most revealing parts of Ananya’s conversation was when she spoke about the compromises she made in her past relationships. She admitted that, like many people, she had changed herself to fit the expectations of her partner. She said, “We all have a little bit. I have been in a relationship where I have changed myself a lot, but not to the point that it turned bad.” In the beginning of relationships, she explained, people often try to impress their partners, sometimes without realizing how much they are changing their own personalities or behaviors. “You do things to impress in the beginning of a relationship and you don’t realise how much you are changing for your partner,” she added.

As of now, Ananya is focusing on her career as well, having recently appeared in Vikramaditya Motwane’s Netflix show CTRL, where she played the role of Nella, a social media influencer. She is also set to star in a new film directed by Karan Singh Tyagi, alongside Akshay Kumar and R Madhavan, produced by Dharma Productions.
