Amitabh Bachchan reveals on Kaun Banega Crorepati 16: “Jaya Ji ko gajra bahut pasand hai”

Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 16 introduced an exciting new feature, 'India Challenger Week,' adding a thrilling twist to the popular game show. During this week, 10 play-along contestants will compete, but only the top two from the Fastest Finger First (FFF) round will advance to the Jaldi 5 Buzzer Round. This intense buzzer challenge will determine who earns a spot on the coveted hotseat. One of the standout contestants this week is Priyanka from Delhi, who engaged in a lively conversation with host Amitabh Bachchan, during which they spoke about his wife, Jaya.

Priyanka's journey from academia to becoming a contender on India’s most iconic game show highlights the power of knowledge and determination, proving that hard work can open doors to incredible opportunities. The winner will then continue their game, starting from the 6th question on the money tree.

While seated on the hot seat, Priyanka added a delightful and unexpected twist to the game by asking Amitabh Bachchan a series of witty and candid questions, beginning with, “Sir, middle-class families mein jab remote kho jata hai, toh ghar mein ladai ho jaati hai. Kya aapke ghar mein bhi aisa hota hai? (Sir when the remotes gets lost in a middle-class family's house, family members start fighting. Does the same happen at your house?)" Amitabh Bachchan responds, “Nahi, Devi ji, humare ghar mein aisa nahi hota. Do takiye hote hain sofa par, remote unmein chhup jata hai. Bas wahi dhoondhna padta hai (No ma'am, this doesn't take place in our house. There are two pillows on the sofa and the remote often gets stuck in between them. We just have to find them.)"

Priyanka moves on to next question, “Jab main office se ghar jaati hoon, toh mummy bolti hain dhaniya ya kuch aur le aana. Kya Jaya ma’am aapko bhi kuch laane ke liye kehti hain? (When I go from the office to home, my mom asks me to bring coriander or something else. Does Jaya ma'am also ask you to bring something?)" Amitabh Bachchan replied, “Bilkul kehti hain. Keh deti hain, ‘Apne Aap ko le aana ghar!'(yes, of course. She says bring yourself home!)"

Priyanka moves on the last question, “Sir, kabhi ATM jaake cash nikala hai aur apna balance check kiya hai? (Sir, have you ever gone to the ATM to withdraw cash and checked your balance?)" Amitabh Bachchan replies with a chuckle, “Na toh hum apne paas cash rakhte hai, na kabhi ATM gaye hai, kyunki hamein samaj nahi aata ke kartein kaise hai.Lekin Jaya ji ke paas hota hai. Main unse paise maangta hoon. Jaya Ji ko gajra bahut pasand hai, toh raaste mein jab chhote bacche haar bechne aate hain, toh main unse kharidta hoon aur woh haar kabhi Jaya Ji ko deta hoon ya kabhi gaadi mein rakh leta hoon, kyunki unki mehek acchi lagti hai (Neither do we keep cash with us, nor have we ever gone to the ATM because we don’t understand how to do it. But Jaya ji always has cash. I ask her for money. Jaya ji loves garlands, so when little kids come selling flowers on the road, I buy them, and I either give the garland to Jaya ji or sometimes keep it in the car because I love the fragrance of it.)
