A new video circulating on social media shows the actor home after spending a night in jail, with his grandmother visibly emotional as she performs a ritual to ward off the evil eye.

One such video captures the actor’s reunion with his grandmother, where she performs the ‘nazar utarna’ ritual (to ward off the evil eye) before he enters their home.

Allu Arjun then touches his grandmother's feet, and the two share an emotional hug, with his grandmother seen crying in the video. Another woman is also shown performing a similar evil eye ritual using a coconut.

The actor was taken into custody at his home on Friday in connection with the death of a fan during the premiere of his film Pushpa 2: The Rule. A minor who was injured in the stampede remains in critical condition.

The incident occurred on December 4 during the premiere of Pushpa 2: The Rule in Hyderabad, where Allu Arjun was present with his family and co-star Rashmika Mandanna. A stampede-like situation erupted at the Sandhya Theatre as fans became overly excited about his presence. The chaos resulted in the death of 35-year-old Revathi, while her son remains in critical condition in the hospital.
