The makers of Akhanda 2 have dropped the first full glimpse of Samyuktha through their new song video titled Jajikaya, setting off exactly the sort of frenzy you expect from a Balakrishna-Boyapati Srinu combination. The film, backed by Thaman S’s soundtrack, hits theatres on December 5, and this number is built to land with the kind of swagger that Balayya fans treat like a ritual.
Sung by Shreya Ghoshal and Brijesh Shandilya, Jajikaya leans into every familiar beat of a Balakrishna mass song. Thaman composes it with unfiltered energy, a little theatrical abandon, and the rhythmic punch that has become part of Balayya’s screen identity. National Award-winning lyricist Kasarla Shyam keeps the writing loud, catchy and rooted in the larger-than-life tone of the film, while choreographer Bhanu loads the video with chunky, confident moves that match the mood.
The release comes just four days after Thaandavam song, a track that operates in a completely different emotional space. If Thaandavam was all fire and divinity, Jajikaya is pure celebration. Boyapati Srinu clearly wants to signal that Akhanda 2 won’t be leaning on just one flavour; he’s serving the full spread.

This sequel marks the fourth collaboration between Boyapati and Balakrishna, a partnership that has turned into a sub-genre of its own. The film is produced by Raam Achanta and Gopi Achanta under the 14 Reels Plus banner. Cinematography is split between C Ramprasad and Santossh D Detakae, with AS Prakash handling production design and Tammiraju on the edit. The cast also brings in Harshaali Malhotra of Bajrangi Bhaijaan fame, appearing in her first major role as an adult.
Akhanda 2 will walk into an indirect box-office clash, landing a day before Sharwanand’s Biker releases on December 6. The team is pushing for a wider footprint this time, with plans for a major Hindi release and a 3D version. Their previous song launch in Mumbai made that ambition clear.
Balakrishna, last seen in Daaku Maharaaj, is also gearing up for NBK111. Earlier today, the makers confirmed Nayanthara as the film’s leading lady, adding yet another marquee pairing to his upcoming lineup.
