In a significant move ahead of the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2024, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has announced a new financial assistance scheme aimed at benefiting students and recent graduates. The announcement was made on the occasion of Ashadhi Ekadashi Day in Pandharpur.

Under this scheme, 12th-pass pass students will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 6,000, while diploma students will be granted Rs. 8,000 per month. Graduates are set to benefit the most, with a monthly allowance of Rs. 10,000. This initiative is designed to provide much-needed financial support to young individuals at various educational stages, fostering better employment opportunities and aiding in their transition from education to the workforce.

This strategic move by the Maharashtra government is seen as an effort to address the economic challenges faced by students and graduates. The scheme aims to alleviate some of the financial burdens associated with education and early career development, enabling students to focus more on their studies and professional growth.

As the assembly elections draw nearer, this initiative is expected to be a key talking point in the political discourse, highlighting the government's commitment to the educational and economic development of youth in the state.
