Jord Engineers India Ltd.

Jord Engineers India Ltd. was incorporated as a Limited Company on
 20.04.1989 in the state of Maharashtra to carry out the activities of
 manufacturing process engineering equipments such as vacuum filters,
 clarifiers and thickeners etc., under technical collaboration with
 Jord Engineering Pvt Ltd., Australia.
 
 In the year 1991 Jord started manufacturing vacuum filters,
 clarifiers and thickeners.  In 1993, the Company undertook projects
 for the manufacture of sugarcane harvesters, air cooled heat
 exchangers, pulp washers and disc filters and diversified into the
 manufacture of high value capital equipment used in process
 industries.
 
 Jord has manufactured and supplied one of India's largest filters to
 Dhampur Sugar Ltd. and Modi Sugar Ltd and has also exported a 14 x 30
 feet filter to Reunion Islands, a French state.  The Company has also
 commenced production of self propelled sugarcane harvester and
 Aluminium fintubes.
 
 The Company manufactures high technology process equipment such as
 Rotary Drum vacuum filters, clarifiers, thickeners, industrial
 effluent and sewage treatment plant equipment, etc. used in process
 industries like petrochemicals, sugar, paper, pharmaceuticals and the
 like.  Since 1993, Jord has also started manufacturing Mechanical
 Sugarcane Harvesters, Disc Filters, Pulp washers, and Air cooled heat
 exchangers.  
 From end-March, 1995, the Company's project to manufacture 8500
 tonnes per annum (tpa) of high frequency resistance welded fintubes
 has commenced commercial production.
 
 The Company's principal customers include : Krupp Industries, Essar
 Gujarat Limited, Walchandnagar Industries Limited, Indian Oil
 Corporation, Larsen & Toubro Limited and Thermax Limited.
 
 Exports
 
 Jord from the very beginning has laid a great deal of emphasis on the
 exports.  The Company has exported its products to
 Indonesia,Philippines and Reunion Islands.  The Company has also
 executed orders for export of components for Air Cooled Heat
 Exchangers supplied to Papua New Guinea 
 and to Singapore for the Caltex and Petrosea projects respectively.
 
 Jord has organized demonstrations and trial run for mechanical sugar
 cane harvester manufactured by the Company for representatives from
 Mauritius, Kenya, Uganda and South Africa.  Jord has received orders
 for sugarcane harvesters from Kenya & Mauritius.  The Company expects
 good export orders for the harvesters.
 
 The Company currently executes its exports through a group company,
 Jord Impex Limited.  However, prior to setting up Jord Impex Limited
 the Company used to export its own products and has been the
 recipient of various export awards as given hereunder.
