Delhi factory fire kills four near Rithala Metro Station

15 fire tenders were dispatched to the scene to bring the blaze under control.

According to Divisional Fire Officer AK Jaiswal, the factory was involved in printing on plastic and cloth materials.

Four people lost their lives on Wednesday after a massive fire broke out at a chemical factory near Rithala Metro Station in northwest Delhi on Tuesday evening, PTI reported.

The fire broke out at the factory in Rohini's Sector-5. Delhi Fire Services chief Atul Garg told PTI that 16 fire tenders were dispatched to the scene to bring the blaze under control. The incident was reported around 7.25 pm from a premises located near Rithala Metro Station.

Police have so far recovered four charred bodies, and the search operation for people caught in the fire is still underway, the report added.
