A Lamborghini lost control and crashed into the divider on the southbound side of Mumbai’s Coastal Road on Sunday morning. The driver was unharmed, but the car’s front end was badly damaged.

Commenting on the video, Singhania wrote, “Another day, another Lamborghini mishap. This time on Mumbai’s Coastal Road. Do these cars even have traction? From catching fire to losing grip — what’s going on with Lamborghini?”

According to Worli police, the driver, 52-year-old Atish Shah, was driving towards Colaba when the incident occurred. The car suddenly skidded on the wet surface, collided with the barricade, and finally came to a stop, Hindustan Times reported.

Senior Police Inspector Arvind Patil confirmed that Shah was not injured in the crash. Shah, a resident of Nepean Sea Road, was allegedly shaken but physically fine.

Police have requested the Regional Transport Office (RTO) to inspect the Lamborghini for any mechanical faults.

However, initial assessments indicate that the slippery road was likely the main cause of the accident. This is not the first Lamborghini-related incident on the Coastal Road.

On December 25, 2024, another Lamborghini caught fire on the same stretch. The vehicle was engulfed in flames, and it took the fire brigade about 45 minutes to extinguish the fire. No one was hurt in that earlier accident either.
