Vistara on Saturday launched its user-friendly mobile app with features such as easy mobile check-in, quick and real-time flight status, joining the bandwagon of airlines offering their customers the topnotch experience with updated technologies.

The mobile app, launched on the completion of 100-days of the new airline which is a joint venture between India's Tata Group and Singapore Airlines, comes packed with an array of features for customers to enable self-servicing, Vistara said in a release.

At present the app has been launched for Android users, who can access it through Google Playstore, Vistara said, adding soon it would be available on iOS and Windows platforms as well.

"It is delightful to see the way customers have embraced Vistara and appreciated the value proposition.. I couldn't be more proud than today to see the resplendent milestone of 100 days being achieved. I would like to wish the Vistara team many more such glorious days," Vistara Chairman Prasad Menon said.

Apart from offering easy mobile check-in, quick and real-time flight status and other important travel information, Vistara mobile app also facilitates registration for Club Vistara, access to account summary and download of e-card to the device.

The airline has also announced complimentary upgrade to premium economy for 100 customers through draw of lots besides a bonus of additional 100 points to all Club Vistara members who board its flight today. Vistara is the only domestic carrier which offers premium economy besides business and economy class on all its flights.

The Delhi-base airline currently operates 197 flights per week from across eight domestic destinations -- Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Goa, Hyderabad, Guwahati, Bagdogra and Pune. "Vistara's journey in its first 100 days of operations has been incredible and filled with wonderful moments.

This is indeed going to be an exciting year for us as we introduce new upgrades to our product and service portfolio and expand our footprint," Vistara Chief Executive Officer Phee Teik Yeoh said.
