Tech Mahindra today said it has won a contract from the Bahrain-based Menatelecom to handle its managed services contract which involves expanding the company's WiMax network.
The company did not reveal the deal size.
Tech Mahindra will join Huawei Technologies in managing Menatelecom's WiMax 16e network, a release from the Mumbai-based company said.
"This deal is a vindication of our investment in the emerging markets and our deep experience of working with operators in this region.
We already have a deep presence in the region and we are really looking forward to a productive and long-term engagement with Menatelecom," Tech Mahindra Vice-president for global alliance & sales for Middle East, Africa and Saarc, Krishna Gopal said.
"The partnership with Tech Mahindra will further ensure that our customers continue to receive the best support possible and the most reliable broadband Internet service," Menatelecom Chairman Abdulhakeem Al Khayyat said.
The agreement will enable Menatelecom to enhance and expand its billing and customer relation management system.
With Tech Mahindra's managed services solution, Menatelecom will also significantly enhance its current capabilities and enable it to offer advanced services to its customers, the release said.
