Cairn-Vedanta deal referred to CCEA, decision in two weeks

The meeting of a Group of Ministers headed by Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee on Friday seems to have put the Cairn-Vedanta deal on fast track. The GoM that met to discuss the fate of the USD 9.6-billion deal has made recommendations, not decisions, which will be put forth the CCEA. And, a decision is expected within the next two weeks.
