Chennai’s entertainment landscape is set for a landmark transformation this December. After years of anticipation, Wonderla Holidays is officially opening Wonderla Chennai on December 2—ushering in a new era of large-scale leisure, themed experiences, and world-class thrill rides in Tamil Nadu.
The launch marks a significant expansion for one of India’s leading amusement park brands, making Chennai the company’s fifth location and its most ambitious Southern project yet. Sprawling across more than 64 acres on Old Mahabalipuram Road, the park blends ancient Tamil architectural motifs with cutting-edge technology, promising an experience that is equal parts nostalgic, futuristic, and adrenaline-packed.
The park will be formally inaugurated on December 1 by Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, signalling the state’s push to elevate Chennai as a premier tourism and entertainment hub. For residents and travellers alike, Wonderla Chennai is expected to become a major all-season attraction—bringing together culture, innovation, and family-friendly recreation on an unprecedented scale.
