Apple CEO Tim Cook was recently in the United Kingdom. At the company’s headquarters in London’s Battersea area, Cook welcomed King Charles during his visit. According to a report by Standard UK, King Charles was keen on knowing about Apple Intelligence features.
King Charles visited Apple’s Battersea office in London to meet Apple employees, members of the British creative community, and students who have learned new skills like coding from educational programs supported by Apple and U.K.-based nonprofit The King’s Trust.
The report mentions that the one feature which impressed the British monarch was a newly released Apple Intelligence tool. What caught his eye was the Image Wand feature, which transforms rough sketches into detailed images. By identifying the key elements of a drawing, this Apple Intelligence tool uses advanced AI technology to generate a visually similar picture, bringing simple sketches to life. “Oh god. It’s not fair really. Fantastic,” King Charles told a young artist who showed him the tool in presence of Cook.
Cook also posted on social media platform X, a short video of King Charles at Apple headquarters and interacting with others. “We were honoured to welcome His Majesty King Charles to Apple Battersea — our home in the U.K. — and we’re proud to support The King’s Trust in its vital work educating and empowering young people,” said Cook. “We look forward to our continued growth here, building on more than 40 years of history in the United Kingdom.”
