Samsung is anticipated to launch the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 foldable smartphones soon, which will be the successors to the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 smartphones, launched last year. The South Korean tech giant has reportedly started the production of these devices, and as we move closer to the official debut, more leaks surrounding these foldables have appeared, including their purported launch timeline and battery sizes.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7: Expected launch timeline, battery detailsAccording to X tipster @PandaFlashPro, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 foldable smartphones have entered the production stage, meeting the company’s May timeline. This also aligns with the previously leaked production timeline, and we can expect Samsung’s current generation foldable handsets to be launched in July 2024.
Moreover, two Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 batteries with the model numbers EB-BF966ABE and EB-BF967ABE have appeared on the UL Demko database with the certification numbers DK-163799-UL and DK-163657-UL, respectively, suggesting that the device will pack a dual-cell Lithium-ion battery with 2126mAh and 2146mAh capacities, with a combined total capacity of 4,272mAh. However, this could be marketed as a typical 4400mAh capacity, similar to last year’s Z Fold 6.
Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7’s dual batteries reportedly have 1,189mAh and 2,985mAh rated capacities, with a combined total of 4,172mAh, which is likely to be marketed as 4,300mAh upon launch. This means it will have an increase in battery capacity of 300mAh over the Galaxy Z Flip 6, which comes with a 4,000mAh battery.
