CES 2025 is now live and both LG and Samsung have announced their 2025 range of smart TVs with a bunch of new technologies. However, like every other gadget out there, TVs have also started getting the taste of AI. Both companies have announced that they will integrate the Microsoft Copilot AI tool into their new lineup of TVs that will be launched throughout the year.
Microsoft Copilot coming to LG and Samsung TVsAlthough both companies have integrated the Copilot AI into their TVs, the approach here is a little bit different. First, both TV brands have added the web version of the Copilot AI tool to the TVs. This means users can access the tool and interact with it.
Samsung’s Copilot integration approachSamsung has added the Microsoft Copilot as a part of its new Vision AI brand. The web app for Copilot will be a part of the Vision AI suite. “In collaboration with Microsoft, Samsung announced the new Smart TVs and Smart Monitors featuring Microsoft Copilot,” says Samsung in a press release. “This partnership will enable users to explore a wide range of Copilot services, including personalized content recommendations”.
Apart from this, Samsung has also added features like AI Upscaling, Auto HDR Remastering and Adaptive Sound Pro like features as a part of the Vision AI suite. In fact, the company has also added a dedicated AI button on the remote to allow easy access to all the AI features that the TVs will offer.
LG’s take on Copilot integrationLG on the other hand has added a dedicated AI section within its TVs and has also rebranded its remote to “AI Remote”. Unlike Samsung, LG has used Copilot as a way to efficiently find and organize complex information using contextual cues.”
However, the feature appears to have been baked within LG’s own AI Chatbot and it will rely on Microsoft Copilot when more information is required.
