OnePlus Nord CE 5 and Nord CE 5 Lite to launch soon in India: Expected date, price and features

OnePlus appears to be preparing for the launch of its next-generation Nord smartphones in India. According to recent leaks, the OnePlus Nord CE 5 and a more affordable Nord CE 5 Lite could debut in the country in early July. While OnePlus has not officially confirmed the devices or the launch date, leaked specifications and pricing details have started surfacing online, hinting at what buyers can expect from these mid-range offerings.

A now-deleted post by tipster Yogesh Brar suggested that OnePlus is planning to announce the Nord CE 5 and possibly the Nord 5 series on July 8. Although the tweet has since been taken down, it aligns with the brand’s typical product cycle. If the timeline holds, the next OnePlus Nord launch event is just weeks away.

The OnePlus Nord CE 5 is expected to be priced around Rs 25,000 in India, based on the leaked specs and past pricing trends. Its predecessor, the Nord CE 4, was launched at Rs 24,999, so a slight price bump is likely. As for the Nord CE 5 Lite, pricing details remain under wraps, but it could target the sub-Rs 20,000 segment, making it a more accessible option in the Nord series.

The OnePlus Nord CE 5 is tipped to feature a 6.7-inch flat OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it may be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 8350 processor, paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The phone could sport a triple rear camera setup, with a 50-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera, and a 16-megapixel front shooter. A large 7,100mAh battery with support for 80W fast wired charging is also expected.

While specific details about the Nord CE 5 Lite remain unknown, it is expected to retain core features like OLED display and a large battery, possibly with toned-down hardware to keep the price competitive.
