OnePlus is set to unveil two smartphones — the OnePlus Nord 5 and OnePlus Nord CE5 — alongside the OnePlus Buds 4 on 8 July 2025 at 2 pm IST. The launch will take place in India and is expected to bring flagship-like power and performance to the mid-range segment.
Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor confirmed
OnePlus has already teased the processor that will power the Nord 5. The phone is set to debut with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, a flagship-grade processor with 4nm architecture and Kryo CPU. The phone will be backed by LPDDR5X RAM, offering smoother multitasking and faster gaming performance.
This marks the first time a phone in the Nord lineup will use a Snapdragon 8 Series processor — a significant step forward for the range.
Gaming-centric performance
The Nord 5 promises robust gaming capabilities. The phone supports 90fps gameplay in Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) and up to 144fps in Call of Duty Mobile, making it a strong contender for gamers who want high-frame-rate gaming without spending flagship prices.
To keep temperatures under control during heavy gaming sessions, the phone comes with Cryo-Velocity VC cooling, featuring a large 7,300 mm² dissipation area and flagship-grade graphene thermals.
OnePlus Buds 4 India launch
OnePlus is also launching the Buds 4 alongside the smartphones. The Buds 4 come with Dual Drivers, Dual DACs, Hi-Res LHDC 5.0, and 3D Audio. They also feature 47ms ultra-low latency in Gaming Mode, perfect for gamers who need fast, lag-free audio. The Buds 4 will be available in Zen Green and Storm Gray colour variants.
Availability and pricing
The OnePlus Nord 5, Nord CE5, and Buds 4 will launch on 8 July 2025 at 2 pm IST. The smartphones and earbuds will be available on Amazon.in and OnePlus.in. The pricing details and full specifications will be revealed at the launch event.
