doctors day

India celebrates National Doctors’ Day every year on July 1 to honour the contribution of doctors and medical professionals in society. The date marks the birth and death anniversary of Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy, a renowned physician and the second Chief Minister of West Bengal. As we acknowledge the dedication of doctors in 2025, WhatsApp can be a simple and effective way to send heartfelt greetings, especially to your personal doctor, medical professionals you admire, or even friends and family in the field.

How to send Doctors Day wishes on WhatsApp

1. Share a personal message

Open the WhatsApp app on your phone, tap the chat of the doctor or contact you wish to greet, and type out a personalised message. You can say something like, “Happy Doctors’ Day! Thank you for your dedication and care,” or customise it based on your relationship with the recipient.

2. Use WhatsApp Stickers

WhatsApp allows users to send themed stickers, including ones for special occasions. To use them:

• Open a chat.

• Tap the emoji icon > sticker icon.

• Tap the “+” icon to browse sticker packs.

• Search for “Doctors Day” or use third-party sticker apps like “Sticker.ly” to find relevant packs.

Once downloaded, you can send them with a single tap.

3. Create a WhatsApp Status

To broadcast your appreciation more widely, go to the “Status” tab in WhatsApp and post a Doctors’ Day-themed image or video. Add a message like “Thank you to all doctors for your tireless service. Happy Doctors’ Day!” This is a great way to reach multiple contacts at once.

4. Send greeting cards or images

You can find downloadable Happy Doctors Day greeting cards or images online or create your own using apps like Canva. Share these via WhatsApp as an image message or through status updates.

5. Use WhatsApp Channels (if available)

If you follow healthcare-related WhatsApp Channels, share their messages or updates to your contacts or groups to spread awareness and appreciation.
