Google is working on introducing some new updates for its Gemini Advanced users. In an email, which was accessed by 9to5 Google, the company hinted at major improvements coming in the next few months. While Google did not reveal much details, it is expected to introduce new AI tools, improve AI performance and more
One big change will be the AI models themselves. Google is working on an upgraded version of Gemini 2.0 Pro, which will soon become the default for subscribers. They’re also improving Gemini 2.0 Flash Thinking, an experimental model that shows its thought process in real time. This could make AI responses more transparent and easier to understand.
Google is also focusing on creative tools. The email suggests that Gemini Advanced users will soon be able to generate high-quality videos, images, and even music. Right now, Google’s AI already includes Imagen 3 for images, while Veo 2, a video tool, is being tested. Music generation tools like MusicLM or Lyria might also be part of the package, giving creators more ways to experiment with AI.
Another big promise is smarter AI assistants. Google wants to build AI that doesn’t just answer questions but actually takes action—like organizing emails, managing files, or automating tasks. This kind of AI could make life a lot easier, especially for people using Google Workspace for work.
There’s no exact release date for these updates yet, but Google is calling Gemini Advanced “your pass to next-gen AI.” If these upgrades deliver, it could be a big step forward for AI-powered creativity and productivity.
