Google has opened its generative AI video tool, Veo 3, to all users free of charge for a limited period. The announcement was made by CEO Sundar Pichai on X, where he confirmed that the service will remain accessible without a subscription until Monday morning.

According to Google, Veo 3 is free to use for everyone until 10 a.m. on Monday, August 25. The service, usually restricted to Gemini Pro subscribers, is accessible directly through the Gemini app on Android and iOS. To ensure smooth access during the free trial period, Google has deployed additional computing resources, including more TPUs, to handle higher traffic.

First introduced at Google I/O 2025, Veo 3 is the company’s advanced AI video generation tool. Google has also rolled out the Veo 3 Fast model in India, designed to deliver results at a quicker pace. The tool is available on both Android and iOS versions of the Gemini app, allowing Indian users to try it over the weekend without a subscription.
