The hotly anticipated Battlefield 6 is going to launch on October 10, 2025, and, as per the latest rumours, its Battle Royale mode could arrive within the same month. Based on the claims of CharlieIntel on X, the Battlefield 6 BR mode could arrive on October 28 itself, and it will be free to play.
EA and Battlefield Labs are currently testing the upcoming Battle Royale mode and plan to refine it based on the inputs from players and Battlefield games’ veterans. What makes Battlefield 6 Battle Royale stand out from conventional BR modes in other games is its deadly BR ring that would instantly kill any player it touches, thus giving no second chances. Also, once you choose your character class in a squad, you cannot change it at any point in the match.
The other major elements in Battlefield 6 Battle Royale, in true Battlefield fashion, are tactical destruction and vehicular combat. As per the Battlefield 6 devs, players can expect destruction to be everywhere in the Battle Royale mode. Tactical destruction gives squads the flexibility to demolish structures and buildings, opening new pathways and tactical strong points on the battlefield. In the Battle Royale tests, players are getting to use transport vehicles as well as armoured vehicles.
Coming to the weapons in Battlefield 6 Battle Royale, the ongoing tests introduce “5 tiers of weapons to loot along with attachments, throwables (Ex. Frag Grenades), gadgets (Ex. RPGs), Strike Packages (Ex. Air Strike), armor, upgrade kits, and custom drops of favorited weapons.” The weapons in Battlefield BR mode tests can be found in general loot crates, class-specific crates, by unlocking armoured trucks, through mission rewards or by looting defeated enemies. To gain the upper hand in the match, Battlefield Labs has introduced objectives for squads that offer extra rewards, such as weapon caches, vehicle keys, and Mobile Redeploy units. These rewards will be airdropped onto the BR map.
