Elon Musk's X has announced a flat 50% discount on its Premium subscription plans for users in India. The limited-period offer applies to both monthly and higher-tier plans, making paid features such as verification, reduced ads, creator tools, and AI access available at lower entry prices. The discounted pricing is visible directly on X’s Premium subscription page and is being positioned as a time-bound promotional deal.
Discounted prices across Premium tiers
Under the current offer, X’s three paid plans — Basic, Premium, and Premium+ — are available at reduced monthly rates.
The Basic plan is priced at Rs 170 per month. This tier includes small reply boosts, bookmark folders, highlights tab access, post editing, longer posts, and customization features.
The Premium plan shows a 50% discount for the first two months, bringing the price down to Rs 213.50 per month from the regular Rs 427. After the promotional period ends, the plan renews at the standard monthly rate.
For users opting for the highest tier, Premium+ is also discounted by 50% for the first two months. The price currently stands at Rs 1,285 per month instead of Rs 2,570. Once the offer period is over, the subscription returns to the regular pricing.
Key features included with Premium subscriptions
The Basic tier focuses on post editing tools, longer content formats, and improved organization through bookmark folders and highlights.
Upgrading to the Premium plan adds the verified checkmark, larger reply boosts, fewer ads in feeds, advanced analytics, access to Grok AI features, article writing tools, creator subscriptions, and revenue-earning options.
Premium+ removes ads entirely and unlocks higher reply boosts, SuperGrok access, advanced search tools, early feature access, and the new handle marketplace for requesting premium usernames.
Auto-renewal and subscription terms
X notes that all Premium subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Pricing after the discounted period reverts to standard monthly charges. Users can manage or cancel subscriptions through the platform they used to sign up.
The 50% price cut significantly lowers the barrier for users looking to try X’s paid features, especially Grok AI tools, analytics, and creator monetization options. With reduced introductory pricing across Premium and Premium+, the platform appears to be pushing wider adoption of its subscription ecosystem in India.
