Apple users faced widespread service disruptions earlier today, June 25, as several iCloud-based features, including Photos, Find My, iCloud Mail, and others, were temporarily affected. According to Apple’s System Status page, the issues began around 12:06 AM IST and were fully resolved by 4:30 AM.
The affected services included:
• iCloud Mail
• Photos
• Find My
• iCloud Account & Sign-In
• iCloud Web Apps (iCloud.com)
The Find My service, which helps users track their Apple devices or share locations, faced issues between 12:10 AM and 3:00 AM. Apple’s official description across all services stated that “some users were affected” and may have “experienced an issue” or “a problem” with access or functionality.
Data from the outage-tracking website -- Downdetector -- also revealed a significant spike in complaints around 1:15 AM, peaking at 908 reported problems. The majority of issues were related to email access (50%), followed by server connection problems (26%) and difficulties accessing or syncing files (24%).
Users reported various glitches during the outage. Some noted repeated prompts to “sign into account to verify Apple ID,” while others couldn’t send or receive emails due to “sender invalid” errors. A few also mentioned that syncing between Apple devices had stopped working altogether.
One user shared: “My iCloud just randomly stopped syncing, and I lost access to photos and mail.” Another said: “I kept getting Apple ID sign-in prompts over and over again.”

What Apple has said
As always, Apple has not issued a detailed explanation about the cause of the disruption but confirmed that all services have since returned to normal. As of now, no user action is required, and the company’s system status dashboard shows green across the board.
