The captain of the Indian Kabaddi team and Tamil Thalaivas, Pawan Sehrawat has been sent home for disciplinary reasons in the middle of the ongoing Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) season. The franchise released a public statement and confirmed the release of Sehrawat. The 29-year-old responded to the allegations by posting a video on his social media.

In the video, Sehrawat responded to the charges and delivered a strong statement:

“The franchise has put allegations of indiscipline against me, and I have been a part of the Indian team and am fully aware of what discipline means. If I am found to be indisciplined anywhere or if the allegations against me prove to be true, I will not play kabaddi ever again."

He also shared his past experiences with the Thalaivas:

“After yesterday’s post, I thank all of you for your calls and messages. I was in the same team in season 9, and I received a lot of support through my injury back then. Arjun, my younger brother, and I made a lot of plans to take the team forward. However, we were unable to do so due to a particular individual."

“The team has called me undisciplined. I have been a part of the India team. I know very well what the meaning of discipline is. Whatever the allegations are against me, even if it is only 1% true, I can assure you that I will stop playing Kabaddi. I am still standing firm on this. I say that I am right everywhere and I am not wrong anywhere," Pawan Sehrawat continued.

“My message to Tamil Thalaivas is that you play well. Take the team to the top. All the best," the video ends.

The franchise released their decision via their official X account, but they didn’t disclose the specific details of the allegations.

“Pawan Sehrawat has been sent home from the squad for the remainder of the season owing to disciplinary reasons. This decision has been made after due consideration and in alignment with the team’s code of conduct," the Thalaivas shared.

It’s a big loss for Tamil Thalaivas; they signed Sehrawat for Rs 59.5 lakh. He was the star player of the team. The fans also gave him the name “Hi-Flyer” for his high-flying raids. He is the Captain of the Indian Kabaddi team and also one of the biggest names in Kabaddi. These allegations can also affect his reputation, Sehrawat said he will quit kabaddi for life if he is found guilty.
