Despite not being part of the Pakistan's 2025 Asia Cup squad, Babar Azam continues to rule the social media chatter. The popular Pakistan batter showcased his all-around skills in an exhibition match between the all-star Legends XI and PSL's Peshawar Zalmi.
Babar played a strong batting cameo prior to his humiliating dismissal and took two wickets in the contest. Babar's explosive performance saw him smash 41 runs off only 23 balls. However, he was outdone by former Pakistan spinner Saeed Ajmal. After smashing a six off him to reach 41 runs off 22 balls, Babar attempted another powerful shot but failed to make contact with the ball, which uprooted the off-stump.

During the course of his knock, Babar also hit Shoaib Akhtar for 18 runs in an over. His efforts helped his side pile 144 in 14.4 overs in 15-over a side contest.
Regarding his contributions with the ball, Babar displayed a talent that the cricket community up until now was mostly unaware of. Babar dismissed Azhar Ali and Younis Khan.

Although known for his batting, Babar has the experience of bowling in other formats of the game. He has taken seven first-class wickets thus far, and another 12 in List A games. In addition to his two Test wickets, Babar has been successful in the quick-paced T20 format, taking 4 wickets.
Coming back to the match, Legends XI in response were reduced to 52/6 in the eighth over, following which Inzamam ul Haq and Azhar Mahmood got them close to the target. However, the Legends XI eventually fell short by six runs from completing the chase.
The match was aimed at raising funds for the victims of the recent floods in Pakistan.
