IPL 2025 Auction Day 1 Highlights: Rishabh Pant, Shreyas Iyer bag massive deals; KL Rahul goes to Delhi Capitals

IPL Auction 2025 Day 1 Highlights: Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer became the two most expensive players in history of IPL for Rs 27 crore and Rs 26.75 crore, each respectively. Pant joined LSG whereas Iyer was bought by Punjab Kings. Mumbai Indians bought back Trent Boult and he is now reunited with Jasprit Bumrah. Jofra Archer has returned to Rajasthan Royals. Kolkata Knight Riders fought hard for Venkatesh Iyer and paid Rs 23.75 crore to sign the batter. Wicket-keeper batter Ishan Kishan was bought by SRH for INR 11.25 crore, meanwhile, Glenn Maxwell and R Ashwin have returned to their former teams, PBKS and CSK respectively. First buy of the day came from Punjab Kings who used RTM for Arshdeep Singh aquiring the fast bowler for Rs 18 crore.
